Peel and core the apple then cut into chunks or slices. Chop the apricot.
Pop all the ingredients into a microwaveable bowl with a lid. Add about 1 tablespoon of water and stir. Next put the lid on loosely and microwave on full power for about 2 minutes.
Stir the fruit. If the apple pieces were chopped up quite small then 2 minutes of cooking may be enough. However if the apple is still crunchy at this stage then microwave for another minute or so. You want the apple to be soft but not mushy.
Once the apple is cooked through, leave to cool down slightly before serving.
