This hummus is oil free, but, unlike my creamy hummus recipe I don’t replace the oil with extra liquid. The result is a slightly dry, patê style of hummus which works well on bread or toast.
Free from: gluten, nut, soya, wheat, yeast
This is a vegan recipe
- 1 tin chickpeas (drained)
- 2 tbsp tahini paste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp garlic granules
- salt (to taste)
Add half the chickpeas, along with the rest of the ingredients to a food processor. Blitz. The mixture is quite dry so you may need to scrape it down the sides.
Add the rest of the chickpeas and blitz again. By adding these last you get lots of lovely chunky bits in the hummus. Season to taste and serve.
