Oil Free Vegan Gravy

I make this in a soup kettle but if you haven’t got one, make it on the hob then liquidise in a blender. You can make a big batch and freeze portions to use later.

Free from: gluten, nut, oil, wheat

Soya free: omit soya sauce / liquid aminos and season with salt

Yeast free: use liquid aminos instead of soya sauce

Oil Free Vegan Gravy
  • 150 g potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 celery stick
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 1 handful dried mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp each of Italian seasoning, garlic granules, onion granules
  • soya sauce / liquid aminos (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  1. Finely chop the celery and roughly chop the rest of the veg.

  2. Add all the ingredients to a soup kettle or saucepan. Cover with water.

  3. If using a soup kettle, run on the purée soup programme. 

  4. If using a pan, cook on the hob until everything is soft then liquidise in a blender.

  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
