Lots of people are allergic to nuts so have to avoid at least certain varieties. Hopefully, if you have a nut allergy, then you can tolerate certain types of nuts, or at least seeds. I’ve filtered for nut free recipes but if you tolerate some nuts or seeds you may still be able to make nutty recipes. Simply substitute in nuts or seeds that you can eat. Nut butters are pretty much interchangeable too. Peanut, almond and cashew butters are all widely available, but if you don’t tolerate these nuts then you can buy other nut butter varieties or you can make some yourself. Pecan butter is lovely, as is hazelnut. Tahini is sesame seed butter, and I’d say this has a slightly bitter, distinctive taste which makes it tricky to substitute into or out of recipes. However sunflower and pumpkin seed butters have a much gentler, milder flavour and work in place of nut butters if all nuts are a no no.
